Greg Norman Golf Foundation

Since its inception in 1988, the Greg Norman Golf Foundation has pursued its mission of developing and nurturing young Queensland golfers through its state-wide programs of clinics, camps and competitions.

The Foundation actively strives to provide an opportunity for all young Queenslanders to learn and develop skills and to encourage involvement in the sport of golf.

The Foundation's coaching staff travels extensively to even the most remote areas in the State, where they run training and development programs in schools and at golf clubs. Children, who may otherwise have never been given the opportunity, including disabled and indigenous children, are
instructed in the game of golf and given the chance to "have a go".

In addition to the promotion of the game of golf amongst beginners and novices, the Foundation is responsible for many junior competitions, which enable up-and-coming young golfers to put their developing skills to the test and display their prowess. The most significant of these is the Greg Norman Junior Masters, a program which has provided a springboard for the careers of many young Queensland golfers, including Adam Scott and Karrie Webb.

The Greg Norman Golf Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation. In order to achieve its goals, it is dependant upon the support of its sponsors. Only through their generous support of its programs and its fundraising events is the foundation able to continue to work to develop and nurture the game of golf amongst Queensland youth. The Patron of the Foundation, champion Australian golfer Greg Norman, has always been since the inception of the Foundation, extremely generous in his donation of his time and his funds.
