Must wins 54 Hole Championship
Katelyn Must (Club Pelican) shot 73 (even par)
today at Horton Park Golf Course to win the Queensland Girls
54 Hole Championship by one shot from Round two leader Hannah
Kim (Gainsborough Greens). Must started the day 5 shots behind
the lead but the Queensland State Junior Team member showed
her experience with a solid round of golf for a championship
score of 74, 78, 73 (225) +6. Kim had a disappointing 79 today
to add to her rounds of 76, 71 for a total (226) +7.

Two other Queensland Junior Team players won titles in the
Age Championships. Jacki Marshall won the 17 years and under
category with scores of 78, 72, 77 (227) +8 and Christina
Mew won the 15 years and under with scores of 83, 74, 71 (228)
+9.
Twelve year old Annie Choi (Gainsborough Greens) shot amazing
scores of 79, 73, 75 (227) +8 to win the 13 years and under
division and is certainly a player to watch in the future.
Another Gainsborough Greens player Anna Lim took out the 11
Years and Under Age group.
Maggie Yuan (Lakelands) shot 73 even par today, adding to
her previous rounds of 75 and 77 to win the inaugural Under
21 Championship on a countback from Joice Xu 75, 74, 76 (225)
+6 in a very tightly contested competition.
All in all the Queensland Girls 54 hole Championship was a
great success. As usual Horton Park Golf Course was presented
in excellent condition and Golf Queensland is delighted with
Horton Park Golf Club's continued support of this event. For
