The
Queensland Golf Union Inc.
The Queensland Golf Union
is a voluntary Union of Golf Clubs, created by golfers,
controlled by golfers and works for the benefit of all golfers.
Its main function is to promote the game of golf and administer
ever facet of the playing and business side of the sport,
including fair play and good fellowship. The Union is made
up of a President (not a Delegate) and nineteen Delegates
from fourteen District Associations and three Patron Clubs.
From the Delegates at each Annual Meeting is elected a Management
Committee of six plus the President and Vice President.
A full time secretariat is employed. The Management Committee
meets on a monthly basis and a meeting of Delegates is held
in Brisbane every four months.
